The church triumphant rejoices and celebrates their victory even in the midst of church persecution because we know that we are seated in heavenly places far above all power.
The church is under persecution in many places throughout the world. Read how to have high expectations in the midst of persecution in 1 Thessalonians and 2 Thessalonians.
Here in America persecution takes the form of ridicule, non-inclusion, intolerance, and legal executive orders that deny God and the salvation in Jesus Christ. In other places around the world, church persecution is much more personal and severe. They are beheaded, tortured, drowned, imprisoned, burned.
It is vital in the body of Christ that Christians know what their redemption in Christ entitles them to. Once you are blood bought you become entitled to everything Christ promised.
Three types of churches
The Militant Church is a body of believers who lack the revelation of being seated in heavenly places in Christ Jesus. They are trying to obtain the victory over their enemy that has already been defeated, not recognizing that the victory has already been won.
The Defeated Church ignores the fact that they are seated with Christ. They refuse to even allow themselves to ever think they are entitled and capable of reigning in life through Jesus Christ.
The Triumphant Church is composed of believers with a Bible perspective that the Body of Christ is seated in heavenly places far above all power.
What are heavenly places?
Heavenly places are where the church triumphant remains despite persecution. We receive grace and mercy because God loves us. Grace is receiving all the things that you can’t earn yet you need. Mercy is withholding all the things you deserve that you don’t want.
Ephesians 1:3 New King James Version (NKJV)
3 Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places in Christ,
Redemption is a heavenly place. Forgiveness is a heavenly place.
Ephesians 2:4 New King James Version (NKJV)
4 But God, who is rich in mercy, because of His great love with which He loved us,
The battle is in your mind. The curse has no power over you.
