Reviewing the life of Joseph, we find that although he was thrown into a pit by his jealous brothers, he forgave them and eventually became a good steward of the blessings of God. This allowed Joseph to restore his brothers into the grace of God and healed his family.
We are taught to be good managers. Whether you know it or not, everything belongs to God and we are only stewards of the things he gives us. You must make a decision today whether you will be a good steward or a bad steward.
Joseph resisted temptation and received the anointing to interpret dreams. Joseph learned to forgive and to feed others. This forgiveness led to the restoration of his brothers.
In Genesis 42:1 we find that Jacob told his sons to go to Egypt where there was food.
Genesis 42:1-3 New International Version (NIV)
42 When Jacob learned that there was grain in Egypt, he said to his sons, “Why do you just keep looking at each other?” 2 He continued, “I have heard that there is grain in Egypt. Go down there and buy some for us, so that we may live and not die.”
3 Then ten of Joseph’s brothers went down to buy grain from Egypt.
