As branches abiding in the vine of Jesus Christ, we bear the fruit of the Spirit and demonstrate love and gentleness to others.
Galatians 5:22-25 New King James Version (NKJV)
22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, 23 gentleness, self-control. Against such there is no law. 24 And those who are Christ’s have crucified the flesh with its passions and desires. 25 If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit.

Ephesians 2:1-6 New King James Version (NKJV)
2 And you He made alive, who were dead in trespasses and sins, 2 in which you once walked according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air, the spirit who now works in the sons of disobedience, 3 among whom also we all once conducted ourselves in the lusts of our flesh, fulfilling the desires of the flesh and of the mind, and were by nature children of wrath, just as the others.
4 But God, who is rich in mercy, because of His great love with which He loved us, 5 even when we were dead in trespasses, made us alive together with Christ (by grace you have been saved), 6 and raised us up together, and made us sit together in the heavenly places in Christ Jesus,
Satan tries to damage our relationships because when we are of one accord with our spouses, with our friends, and with our fellow Christians, we can do powerful things for the kingdom of God.
Every time you think of love, you should think of Jesus Christ on the cross for you. God loved us first and saved us and made us alive together with Christ.
