God’s benevolence

Presented by: Pastor Vickie on July 8, 2015.

Pastor Vickie Urges Christians to seek a deeper walk with Jesus Christ in order to experience God’s benevolence. From 2 Peter 1:3 God is a father who gives us all things that pertain to life and godliness through knowledge of him.

Pastor Vickie explains that religious acts are useless without first having a relationship with Jesus Christ.

There is a problem in the Body of Christ in that we learn the mechanics of how Christianity works, but we don’t really know God in our heart…The fruits of a Christian life is in knowing God.

2 Peter 1:3 King James Version (KJV)

3 According as his divine power hath given unto us all things that pertain unto life and godliness, through the knowledge of him that hath called us to glory and virtue:

Maybe we’ve not been able to let God truly manifest himself in our lives like he wants to. (For example by meeting our needs and answering our prayers.) In 1 Peter 1:3 says all things — that means healing, deliverance, prosperity, joy — and just anything that you can think of that is a result of our redemption. So all things . . . come through the knowledge of him — which is a key word.

Matthew 9:29 King James Version (KJV)

29 Then touched he their eyes, saying, According to your faith be it unto you.

So when you pray the Word of God, try not to undermine it with negative confessions.  You are worthy to receive from God because Jesus has made you worthy.

A lot of people have their theology mixed up.  Satan will use our wrong understanding of God’s character against us.  We’re gonna find out that faith is not that hard.  If I can’t hold to one thing about what I pray, then I just cling to Jesus.

The more we receive, the more we’ll understand the true character of God.

When we look at Jesus, we know what God is really like, and we’ll have a new and better relationship with God our Father.
