The Lord is My Refuge

Presented by: Pastor Lynden on October 22, 2017.

Through faith, you can run to God in time of trouble and he will protect you. God is our refuge.

Psalm 46:1 Amplified Bible (AMP)
God the Refuge of His People.
To the Chief Musician. A Psalm of the sons of Korah, set to soprano voices. A Song.
46 God is our refuge and strength (mighty and impenetrable),
A very present and well-proved help in trouble.

Refuge means a place of safety and protection. It also means a place of provision. God is our refuge. God is our strength. God is a powerful force at work for us when we run to him for refuge.

No matter what is troubling you. No matter what makes you fearful, anxious, or nervous. God says to you, “I am your refuge.” For this reason, we will not fear. We walk by faith and not by fear.

Faith allows God to move on your behalf. It is through faith that you were born again when you said, “Jesus, come into my heart and be my Lord and Savior.” After that, there is a separate and distinct deliverance for you when you’re coming into the land of promise with power. You are a child of God. You’ve gone through the wilderness. You’ve got all the world worked out and now you’re walking in to the place of promise.
